Welcome to the home base for our 2024 Fic Rec Exchange! This post will house requests, recs, and treats. For full rules, information, timeline, and FAQ, check out our announcement post. To ask questions or request assistance, leave a comment on our help post.

If you'd like to post a one-off treat, title your comment [TREAT] Name of Fandom, and post a recommendation under the thread for the request by 12/29. You can post a treat even if you did not sign up for the event.
We are currently in the POSTING PERIOD, which means signups are closed! Those who have signed up, you have until December 23rd to post your recs as a reply to your claim on this post. See below for formatting recommendations, though you have freedom to add or streamline as you'd prefer.

3-5 fandoms you are requesting recs for: any, but I like to read in The Untamed, Supernatural, 9-1-1, hockey rpf, etc.
Likes/dislikes: I'd really like - non-exclusively: pregnancy (mpreg or hetero!) stories, emotionally resonant getting together and/or smut. I love soulmate/soulmark tropes, other fantastical world systems, and domesticity/curtain fic. Basically fluff with emotional resonance! Or if there's angst in the story, I want a happy ending. I love Fahye's fics! Destiel, Spirk, Lan Wangji/Wei Wuxian, Buddie, SidGeno (old man yaoi!!), Nathan Mackinnon/Tyson Barrie. I'd love more sapphic fic.

content warnings: internalized homophobia/comphet, some on-page depictions of anxiety/mental health struggles
notes: this fic is sapphic wangxian getting together, paired with lan wangji unraveling comphet and realizing/understanding her sexuality. i loved how the wangxian relationship developed here and the way this author wrote about comphet/a character's sexuality journey!

content warnings: grief! this fic is among other things about lan wangji processing the grief of his mother's death
notes: this is such a lovely and tender fic. of course there's the heavier moments of lan wangji dealing with grief but the developing relationship between wwx and lwj is so quiet and sweet and wonderful. also there's a lot of cooking in this fic and it's all so beautifully written.

notes: i'm not sure if you're familiar with discworld, but you don't really have to be for this au! the main thing to know is maladict is a vampire, and this is, like the summary says, very much a dracula/carmilla kind of story. poor defenseless traveler stops by a castle in the middle of the night, except the castle is inhabited by a vampire! and also it's sapphic! this fic is just a fun tropey romp that's also, as is fitting for discworld, very funny

content warnings: none that i can recall!
notes: the premise of this fic is that wwx hits his head and loses several years worth of memories, including of lwj. but it's not a "oh this is my husband who i forgot" type deal, it's a "why is this man who i am clearly obsessed with NOT my husband" story. it's so sweet and a little funny watching wwx realize HOW down bad he and lwj are for each other and the getting together of it all is really cute as well.
